Default Quieter mufflers

I have a 2008 ultra with rinehart true duals 3 1/2. I installed an andrews 48H and a powervision from fuel moto. These mods were great and gave a nice boost in hp and torque. The cams also made the exhaust probably 20-25% louder. Great on bike nite but not so great on the road. I assume that 4" mufflers would be a little quiter? Ive already tried adding packing around the baffles but it didnt help any. Any suggestions on quiter slipons only? Thanks, Rick.

See if you can find a set of Crusher Mellows from Kuryakyn (Vance and Hines) They have to be the older set....the newer ones aren't the same. I have true duals and a cam upgrade and the sound is perfect in my opinion.

I have a set of stock 2012 mufflers on my 07. They have just enough bark for me. They are designed for the bikes with a cat in the head pipe so they flow freer than the 07/08 mufflers. I'm really happy with them.

I'm running those on my Road King in combination with a S&S header and agree the sound level is just right.

Fat shots can be tuned to whatever loud ya want. I run 19 disc with open caps and it is pretty quiet, at least to my deaf ears, also makes good power but many don’t like the sound. No problem hearing the tunes. Later stockers are more quiet, bike came with them...
