Default Clutch cable rub

2007 FLHTCUI, changed out my bars to 12" replaced clutch cable (I think its a +4) from drag specialties. The cable is rubbing on the bottom/side of engine case. I have used zip ties to pull the cable as close as possible to the frame but it still rubs. Is it possible that I have the wrong clutch cable installed? Does anyone know what the correct part number clutch cable should be installed?

Thanks

Default Clutch cable rub

Hey when I changed to Heritage bars on my 07 RK they called and told me the clutch cable had rubbed through the vinyl casing rubbing on the crash bar. So I replaced it, cosmetic issue only. New one does the same. I took about a 1'' piece of rubber tubing split it, wrapped and zip tied it to the clutch cable at the rub point and called it a day. I think you're okay.

The cable that was on my 08 had a protective sleeve in this location that was stock. As stated above, simple fix to add something.

Go to your local Hardware store and find something rubber to use as a protector...like others state. I have an abundance of doo-dah's in my parts bins and can usually McGruber something to work.

A long protective spring to act as a protector over the cable will work too. You'll see some cables that have it already on it. Could probably get a generic one (the spring) from ace hardware.
