Get a Cardo Pack Talk Bold. It is so much better than anything offered by Sena. Check out the following video comparing the two. Also, get the Bose Quiet Comfort QC 20 earbuds. They are amazingly comfortable and will stay in your ear at highway speeds. The catch is, they are pretty expensive. However, they offer noise cancelling which makes them worth every penny. I use these with the Cardo Pack talk bold in a half helmet and a 3/4 helmet.
I have the Cardo Packtalk Bold and it has a connector for ear buds. I had to get the half helmet mount which places the mic on the unit. Long enough to reach my mouth and you can move it up out of the way. I have Sony ear buds that i run behind my ear and into my ear canal. Never have an issue with these and my I-pod coming out during a ride. I also have some JBL bluetooth ear phones that have the "built in" plastic frame that goes behind your ear and the fancy (to me) ear bud with the little rubber thingee that helps hold in your ear. I have had no issues with either coming out and my half helmet. I can listen to radio (built in the Cardo) or music on my phone. Plus hear my buddy talk. Good luck and let us know what you ended up with.

I'll look into those system. I have ear buds that have the plastic wraps that keep them in my ears just fine at highway speeds. So no issues there. Just wanted something that they could be plugged into instead of using the speakers that most of those systems come with. Same with being able to plug the mic into the main unit and just lowering it down. I don't want to buy new helmets since we both prefer the halfs. We also live in Alabama. The other night around 10pm the temp was 95f and the humidity was 98%. So a full face in alabama heat is absolutely out. I'm already warm blooded last thing I need is passing out from heat stroke lol
Appreciate all the input and I'll be checking out systems and decide which one will work the best for us.

After watching the video think this is absolutely the way I'll be headed. It'll accept the earbuds with the 3.5 jack and easily clamp on the helmet. Not to mention it'll pair with my phone for taking calls in an emergency (happened to me twice with the wife calling because son got hurt). Everything is voice activated and the cost is actually pretty reasonable.
Thanks guys for the input. Forums are absolutely the best way to share info. Since moving to alabama I haven't had many people to ride with...okay pretty much nobody. So having someplace to bounce ideas and share info means quite a bit. Especially since it's all tried and true.
Don’t pass on the Sena till you check them out. Went on a1,000 mike ride last week and my buddy had one too. They worked flawlessly and battery lasted all day. I like the integration with the WHIM and Boom. Clarity with the intercom is outstanding and easy to use too.
No worries, still looking at them as well. After reading the reviews last night on the cardo pack talk bold, it was actually rated a bit worse than the sena 20S. Plus the Sena comes with everything, while the Cardo is going to cost me another $80 for the solid mount boom system ($40 per helmet). So going to keep reading and go from there. The Sena will do everything the Cardo will do as well. Quite literally, it's like somebody was spying on each other lol Kinda like when apple comes out with a function on the iphone. Usually means that android has had it for a year lol

I went with a pair of 30Ks when riding 2 up. Bluetooth has HD audio which is very noticeable and Mesh is there when you need it when more than 4 riders in a group.
