Hey everyone, new to the HD and new to the forum. Bought my first HD last week; a 2003 Electra Glide Ultra. I’m very impressed with the ride. Wish that’s where I’d started 20 year ago! Big difference.
I’d like your opinions. This bike has original silver and black paint, but she’s got some scuffs. My question is, is it better to have an original 100th Anniversary edition with battle scars or a restored one? Thanks and Happy Independence Day! GOD BLESS AMERICA!

Welcome and congratulations. Your bike is my favorite anniversary color. Shoot, I have battle-scars on my 17 so just ride the thing.

Oh yeah, it's mandatory that you post pictures of your bike or be banned in short order. LOL

A paint job won't increase the value. Maintain it,change things you want, just enough to satisfy yourself!

Welcome, and love that paint scheme. I wouldn't worry about battle scars unless they just bother you that much.

Congrats! Looked at an 03 Ultra Anniversary before I bought mine, loved the Silver and Black scheme.

Just ride it. Chances are you will invest a fortune in new paint, only to get new battle scars. 2003 models hold their value due to 100 year anniv. HD got crazy and started releasing an anniv model every 5 years for a while, but the 100th is the real McCoy! Enjoy.

From what I remember about the 03's silver/black paint scheme is a HD proprietary paint scheme for the anniversary. Quite possible the copyright has been deleted. Welcome to the forum.

Scuffs and scars are just character. Leave em.

Battle scars are ok. Anniversary editions are only worth what someone is willing to pay for them. Enjoy your new ride!
