Hoggman...
DB its the dragging bagger system that has haunted several of the members...
The answer to you other question is I don't think so...In order to make it work all 3 you would need 3 different valves that will not leak air and are electric to open when requested...

Arvid...
Its possible...however theres only 2 bolts that ties the shocks on to the suspension...If you remove one shock at a time you wont loss the distance the swing arm moves so there for you can reinstall it without a lot of fussing...Then repeat to other shock...Then you could ecentially use the gravity method...Somre thing I to have thought about...You'll need 2 of the mpt set ups on each side...

Mick...
i dont think you want to fill the shocks up to the top of the air fitting...Fluid doesn't compress like air like Mike279 discribed in post 16...
You want the air volume on top of the fluid...
At first I had the system to full if you recall...
I had topped it out and buttoned her up...Then went for a ride and it was really stiff...also noticed that I was getting alot of fluid in my pump while tring to remore some air...This told me I had to much fluid...removed some fluid with my weight on it and it made a world of difference...

FYI...When we removed the fluid from Karls shocks he had 10 fluid ozs. in one shock and 12 fluid ozs in the other...Go figure...I didn't measure mine due to these findings but after putting on several 1000miles on them I've got to say what a nice improvement I've made to the rear end...Even with the wife on I put 12-13 lbs in and were good ride has realy improved...With me I like about 3-5 lbs...
FWIW...I'm also running the 1" lowering kit...

Bowhunter , what I meant was the shock oil should be at the level of the air fitting when the shock is fully compressed.
If you filled the shock to level with just your weight on them , when you add the wife , they would be a little over full still.
I would think the correct level would be at the valves when the shock is fully compressed on the bike.
Doing it with the shocks in a press (at max compression)would then be less messy than on the bike.
Either way , it works and that's what matters.

Jeff,
I'm not sure what ATF stands for ...That was my 1st impression when Cliff mentioned it to me...I never bothered to ask Cliff what it stood for though...

In Anchorage the first place I stopped looked at me funny, knowing wheather or not to ask for ATF and what it stands for plus going to a more specialized store I'm hoping will make the difference. I'd rather not order the shock fluid. I have to be in El Paso next month, any chance you could give me a steer to a store/shop in El Paso?

ATF normally means Auto Matic transmisison Fluid

Used it for years in Dirt Bike Front Ends

However, this might means something else

So in the end, are you still using your TJ Lowering brackets with the 13" Shocks?

Just last night I emptied out my stock shocks (2005 FLHRCI) of 12oz of oil and then refilled with some Amsoil 10# fork oil. Can't wait for the snow and ice to leave so I can go for a ride.
