2017 SSG. Lately notice when braking, and just a second or 2 before coming to the actual stop,I will hear and feel a strange vibration and unexplainable noise, kind of a fast paced chatter for lack of a better explanation, coming from front brakes.
Any idea what/why this might be?
That would be my guess. I probably sound like a broken record by now but its time to replace your brake fluid if you havent done it already. While youre at it, check the runout on your rotors and make sure the calipers arent sticking.
Thanks guys.
ABS yes, but not hard braking. Fluid level in reservoir sight glass always looks low to me compared to old bike, but could be the position it is in as mounted on the bars.
Planned on taking it in to dealer but time is hard to come by, figured I'd ask here first!

Like Notgrownup said, you have warped rotors. Very common issue.
in my (recent) experience, warped front rotors didn't make any noise, but would "pulse" when braking. Warping the disk can easily happen when inexperienced people replace tires and can be difficult to see. I warped the rear rotor on my Dyna and it didn't pulse, but the pedal felt soft and it would take multiple strokes to get braking.
Just got bike back from service. They said they found no unusual issues with brakes, rotors are fine, cleaned rear brake dust which was pretty bad. Guess I use the fronts harder than the rear, mostly to avoid listening to rear brake squeal. Time to do a better job of keeping rear brakes clean.
