My latest seat recommendation - Danny Gray TOURIST 2-Up Leather
5 out of 5 stars on this seat to set the tone
My sig photo has a Lucky Dave's seat which I really like but it's not an all day here to there type seat so I went hunting last month for an alternative to either supplement or replace it.
I had access to a 2019 CVO Street Glide seat, the two piece solo/passenger. 30 seconds on that told me it was not going to work and it came right back off.
I then started looking at LePera, Danny Gray and C&C and used Corbin. Past experience has told me that Mustang is a non-starter, they are not for me.
I picked up a LePera Maverick locally, tried it for a day and passed it on to another forum member. He's happy and I'm happy that I got to try it for cheap.
I missed a deal on a C&C and didn't want to spend the coin on a new one to experiment.
Revzilla had a sale on a Danny Gray LOWIST for one that had been previously installed. Normally they won't let you allow to return installed items but since it was previously installed, I cleared it with them for a return in case I didn't like it and they said OK. I rode several miles on it over a couple days, and that is a great seat except for where it hit me on the beltline. Adequate but not comfortable.
I returned it and ordered a new Danny Gray TOURIST. This is it. The one that is a keeper for now anyway. The seat is super comfortable with regards to the type foam. I rode it to Missouri and back last week, about 4 hours each way and felt great when getting off the bike. No fatigue, no hot spots, nice little rise in the back. If I would have them do one thing it would be to lower it a little and come back a little towards the rear fender but in the current configuration, no complaints, just a couple minor observations. If I keep it long term and I think I will, I might send it back for a little decorative stitching and see if a slight mod can be done to lower it and come back.
I had an Ultimate Seats solo with the backrest on the previous Road King. The Danny Gray foam and Ultimate Seats foam are very similar in comfort with regards to the type foam used. It's firm, not spongy, very comfortable over several hours. Danny Gray has a little more going on in the style department.
I don't really need the two-up configuration most of the time, but the extra seat gave me somewhere to strap the spare helmet. If I put that helmet in a backpack and a little pillow or pad, it makes the perfect backrest. Right height and width.

Did this seat move you back and lower any, compared to the stock seat?? I have a new to me '15 Ultra, and I feel like I'm sitting on top of the gas tank, I'm looking for a seat that'll move me back and lower if possible.
I think you'll find it is probably similar to stock, but I don't have the stock seat to compare so I'm just guessing it. I'd call Danny Gray and ask them to be sure what they say about the comparison.
I do think it's "up" a little, both in height and forward, hence my comment on asking them if they can shave some off the top and back to bring you back and down a little
