Hi. 2010 Roadking Classic. V02 breather, cats removed, and twin slashed rounds. Fuelpak installed. Recently my mileage went bad. 200kms a tank. Very sluggish as well. Went into limp mode and only way to resolve this is to eliminate Fuelpak. Took it to shop. He changed every modual except for ECM. Even verified sump pump. Changed fuel filter and tested pump. Runs but still sluggish with poor milage. Also won't hit rev limiter. He thinks it has to be ECM. Any one else had this issue? No engine work done ever. Thanks.
I'd say the same thing. Sounds like there is a fail in the ECM and it's gone into "safe" mode. Does he have one at the shop to at least swap out and test? Be the easiest way to know for sure.

Um, do I understand correctly that removing the add on fuelpak fixes it?
Seems to me it wouldn't be the ECM but the Fuelpak.
I admit to not being real familiar with the Fuelpak but basic troubleshooting techniques have you remove add on components and if the problem goes away the removed component is likely the problem.
Missed that part about the fuel pack. Definitely check that first. Could easily be a defective one. Thanks for the catch ORradtech. I completely missed it.

Removing Fuelpak eliminates the check engine and limp mode but bike still lacks power and mileages is still cut in half. Also, bike won't hit rev limiter and only reaches 120kmh/75mph. Very sluggish to say the least.

I was told they are not swappable as they are programmed with VIN#.
