my bike about a week ago last time i rode it the fuel light came on for code "B1004 = Fuel Level Sending Unit Low Instruments" i had gas so i didnt pay much attention to it put it on the to do list but been to busy to look into it, today i jumped on it filled the tank up made about 5 miles and while doing about 45mph it just died out??? WTF??? cranks and cranks but wont start?
battery is new and strong only about 150 miles on it and maybe a month old, can the B1004 code cause a no start issue or should i be looking at something else? i hear the fuel pump prime when i hit the run switch
clueless on where to start
any help will be much appreciated!

I own an 08 uc . I had a hole in the plastic fuel line ,pump comes on but no pressure. also 08 had wires to short for injectors , check that as well. GOOD LUCK
i got it started, after looking at fuses, disconnecting my Power Commander and not coming up with any thing i figured i'd take a look inside the tank and see if every thing was good found one of the fuel hoses came off the pump have no idea how that happen but put it back on and it fired right up! the fuel light keeps going on and off for that B1004 code so i pulled the fairing off and gauge connections looked ok i cleaned them any way see if that helped it if not ill have to tare in to it and find out whats the problem with that?
thanks for all the input i appreciate you guys taking a second out of your day to offer help!
