Having issues with replacing the upper engine mount bracket. I could tell when I was taking it out it was having issues. Dam screw is all stripped and cross threaded. No way it's doing back in correctly Looking for a solution.
Run a tap all the way through the mount hole from the front side it should be full threaded and just use a longer full threaded bolt to get to the new intact threads.
Dicking with a helicoil or time sert there I doubt you have the working clearance to get the drill in straight without shifting the motor. Mine if the longer bolt didn't bite enough I'd just drill the damn thing oversize all the way through, long bolt with a locknut on back side.

Running the tap worked perfectly. There was also a lot of noise in the hole. Looks like some old lock tight and some rust. But the tap cleaned it all up. It's all snugged up to spec now.
