Yeah, but don't forget Laidlaw is in the business of selling bikes and accessories. In fact, he probably makes more money on aftermarket parts/installs than in bike sales...... just something to keep in mind, when watching his recommendations... I couldn't help but notice that in each video, the shock he was testing, was now his favorite shock....

I feel I learn more from reading real world opinions, from regular people, on a forum..... Even someone with little technical experience with suspensions, will usually put things in their reviews that will be useful when evaluating a shock...

Don't discount Ohlins, Pro Action, or Legend..... worth doing some reading on all the premium offerings......

For forks if money is no option i would go with kraus triples and Ohlins inverted forks.

It's just good to have some options and material to study over.

To make it even more difficult for you...

I'd been having the same dilemma for weeks. For me initially, I was trying to decide on REVO-A or RWD shocks. I had decided on the RWD shocks. Then I saw reviews on Pro-Action shocks. So then I was trying to decide on PA or RWD shocks. They're all extremely comparable in price. Then, a couple days ago I stumbled across this thread https://www.hdforums.com/forum/screa...hocks-wow.html and I was sold. I took my bike to be tuned this morning and it hit me. This F'n bike rides like SH*T. I pulled the trigger on a set of RWD shocks for my 16 RGU. And since I'm going on a 3 day trip on Friday with the wife and you know what they say, "happy wife..." LOL!

The shocks got shipped from Southern California today, I'll have them Wednesday, installed on Thursday, riding on Friday.

Like other have said. Do your homework.

On a separate note. I have Fox shock on my Dyna and I LOVE them. I got those three years ago when there was nothing out there about them. I went off the name FOX and knew they had to be good...That's what they do...Make shocks. Never had any issues with them. They were on my short list, but liked everything about the RWD. Again, the way I look at it, they're made by Russ Wernimont and Walker Evans, how can I go wrong, they build off-road race truck shocks. They must know something about what they're doing. IDK...that's just my opinion.

I'll post my opinion of the shocks when I get back next week.

Interested in hearing how the RWD perform for you. I think I'm squeezing the trigger on the ohlins with piggy backs. I've ran them on my sportbikes and the swedes know what they are doing.

Your just going to have to close your eyes and pick. Any of the big names will be a major improvement when it comes to suspension. Legend Suspension for me. The result is a night and day change. Revo-A's on the back and AXEO front suspension. Made in the USA and Lifetime warranty...

PO installed progressive 944 ultras on the rear of my 09 Ultra Classic & I couldn't be happier. I have no other ones to compare to, not even stock but I have no complaints even 2 up loaded down...now the front end is another story entirely, could definitely use an upgrade there.

Shocks are like women. They might look good, but you won't know how good they are till you ride them.
Everyone has their own preference. I have a set of Pro Actions showing up at my door tomorrow. Will post my thoughts after I put a few miles on them.

Legend Revo-A 13”........nice to have the rebound adjustment. Ride mostly 2-up and we got the HD version. We are not really big people but glad I got the heavier ones. The only bad part about just doing the rears is that it really exposes how lame the stock front forks are.

Pro Action, Legend Revo-A, Ohlins

Whatever you decide make sure it's a 13" shock
