I have a Corbin on my 2015 that the previous owner bought, and it seems very wide at the nose. I wouldn't have purchased it, if it didn't already come with the bike. It's just too wide for me.
Trial and error on my part with a lot of sunk cash selling barely used seats. I ended up going with a Mustang Super Touring Solo with the backrest for my Road King. I've tried about a half a dozen seats and since my rides are getting longer I succumbed to the fact that I wanted function and comfort over looks. It did raise me up a bit more than I wanted but when you're in the saddle for 8-12 hours a day with short breaks for fuel and beverage, I needed comfort. I did consider Corbin but the feedback I read seemed evenly split, love it or hate it and I wasn't willing to lose a bunch of money if I didn't like it. Plus it seems like their quality and support may be waining based on feedback on these forums.
One thing I did realize, Amazon will take seats back for a full refund and no return shipping. Toward the end of my search, I started using them and saved a ton of money in my search. Good luck.
I am partial to mustang as I have had them for years. The corbin to me seems like it would be better but the wife is not going to like sitting on a seat that firm.
Trial and error. Over the years and multiple different rides I tried a lot of seats, and spent a lot of money. Maybe I got lucky. For me the Corbin solo seats are unmatched and I had a Russel at one time. Now I don’t even try anything else. I just buy a Corbin and I’ve had one on five different bike. Just works for me
They make Mustang seats 20 minutes from me. Went there today and kinda interrupted a party they had going on and they still went outa their way to help me Nice people. I am looking at their Wide Tripper Solo .Lookslike quality to me . I"ll let you know
I believe its super tourer and yes sometimes my girfriend rides, no complaints, of course if she did, well I'd be solo. I have a detachable back rest she did want that.
My wife rides with me often so that’s an issue. I did find out that those detachable are not all the same, the one I had was a bit forward and crowded the passenger. I went to the dealer and the HD one (which I thought I had) was 2 1/2” farther back. I bought that one and it made a big difference in rider comfort.
