I live in PA and installed the E-Z Pass in the top forward-facing part of the right-hand saddlebag lid. It always reads properly, but of course this is in PA, so I don't know what your experience will be.
In Georgia they send a special one for bikes. It's small ( maybe 3" long x 1/4 wide) and clear and is made to stick to your headlight. Unless you know it's there you'd never see it. The most obvious thing is the black half moon in the center but 8f you look real close you can see the clear plastic on the sides.
I put my SunPass on the inside of the lefty saddlebag cover with Velcro. I put it on the front of the cover, on the small angled section. It gets picked up most every time. I also registered the tag with SunPass in the event it didn’t.
I pick up my brand spanking new 2020 Road Glide Limited tomorrow, coming from a Heritage Softtail. Im wondering if I can simply put my E-ZPass tag in the left storage compartment on the fairing, rather than give it real estate on my windscreen. I think that will work because I know one guy who has his mounted INSIDE his Street Glide tourpack behind him.
Anyone have success with the E-ZPass in the fairing compartment?
