I have the BAL-1 and I'm very pleased with it. I run the tail light on medium setting to keep people from thinking that my brake light is on. I have the brake light set for two series of flashes then solid.
I think that the BAL is a great safety feature. It will get the attention of people behind you.
Had mine for the last 10 years and YES it does get the attention of anyone behind you !!! Great product... mine is set for double strobe then full on.. and it is ON !!!!! BRIGHT !!!!
Love mine, Have one on my 2011 ultra classic. Just got my 1995 fxstsb out of the shop and home yesterday and will be looking to see if I can get one for it.
Just curious why you would do that when it can be programmed for so many different settings?
I was wondering the same thing when I read his post. I have been considering a BAL for my Road King and reading through the specs I saw the different modes.
Has anyone compared the BAL-2 with the BAL-3? The difference being 12LED's in the -2 and 4 in the -3. The LED's are different but the lay down smoke is only available in the -3.
