On my 97 ultra classic efi 1 cylinder runs 135 and the rear is at 212. Any suggestions on why they would be reading different temps? Any help would be appreciated.

Because the one in the one in the rear gets less air flow, perhaps.
It's Fuel injected and when I start the bike and let it run for a minute then I checked the temperature at both exhaust pipes at the heads and the rear read 212 and the front read 135.

Did it just start doing this or has it been like this for awhile?
How does the bike run? Any recent changes in the way the bike runs...?
Seems a large difference in temp for a short period of just sitting still, no movement..... Possible issues with: poor tune, intake leak, dirty injector...
Those are the first possibilities to pop into my mind..
Of course, you are talking about an EVO engine with the MM injection... I know the MM FI has its own foibles... but I am not well versed on the MM system..

The bike also pops on deceleration. It runs fine just once im riding it's so uncomfortable that I don't want to ride. I rode 98 sportster 1200s until father's day of last year so just trying to learn more about this bike. when I bought the bike I asked the guy if he had did any mods or anything and he said nothing was done to it.

Others have mentioned rear cylinder is always hotter.....so true.
Anyways....mine had a pop on deceleration too. Ended up being a cracked Y-Pipe off the rear cylinder. It’s not uncommon to find a cracked one from that era.
