About to pull the outer primary on a '14 SG. 19500 miles
Have a little chatter that I want to investigate.
Is the gasket reusable?? I want to have a new on on hand if it's not..
Suggest you look at the shiny spots of the compensator cam. Mine began to make some noise and I found the shiny wear marks about an inch long on each side of the valley. I added an old medium sized spring as a shim and it is quiet and smooth now. Harley got tired of replacing compensators because of noise and made a shim pack kit that can add preload to the springs, that is probably all you need to quiet things down.

As mentioned, Harley came out with a procedure to measure and then add shims to a '14+ noisy compensator, that will quiet it down....
