Default Remove gas tank

I have a 2005 ultra classic. Do you have to remove the tank to change the spark plug wires?

Dont believe so, but removing the tank is not a big deal

On my 07 I take the rear mounting bolt out and lift the back up a little, nothing to DC from the tank and the wires are accessible from there, those wires have a clip under the tank

It is a bit of a pain but not insurmountable.

I have a 2000 Electra glide, I just removed the rear bolt and the two front bolts and the tank would lift about 3 to 4 inches. this gave me enough clearance to get at the wires and also any clips that hold the wires.

I really don't enjoy taking the tank. Someday will get fuel pump maybe.

As said loosen and tilt will do it.

Both my harleys have quick disconnect on the cross over line. But I still would not take it off.
