Default Coil replacement short cut

Do I have to completely drain and remove the Gas tank to replace the coil on my 97' Ultra classic ? Is it possible to just prop it up and get at it?

2x4 or 2" pvc pipe under the tank will get it up enough. a *long* extension with a ball end hex helps a *lot*

As long as the crossover tube gives you enough room you can. Otherwise, just drain the tank, disconnect the crossover tube and fuel line from petcock, and remove the tank.

That's a pain if you just filled the tank, obviously! Having got as far as above, buy yourself a quick release connector, which speeds up the process and avoids the need in future to drain the gas off.

I can't begin to tell you how great it is to have one of those.

Default Hole in the Garage

My wife wants a boat and I told her that it was just a hole in the water where you throw all of your money. She is now giving me an issue with having a hole in the garage. I just went for a ride..
