2007 Ultra Classic
Installed front motor mount on test ride motor idles rough for a bit and sometimes more. Never had this before.
I suspect something got moved when I lifted the motor up to clear space for new mount. Being very careful gas tank was moved back not removed lifting up watching for motor to tank issues I heard a light squeak up near the tank and motor top end area.
After completing the job on first start the motor idled rough thinking it was a fuel issue from the gas line left disconnected on first start. I forgot to plug it back in.
The motor runs rough at start up and runs smooth in stop and go traffic sometimes. I started bliping the throttle when decelerating and I think I'm only imaging the smooth change.
I will probably have to remove the gas tank and look at stuff and maybe find something to work on.
Any help ideas and stuff greatly appreciated.

 

First idea...post this in the touring section...this is in the wrong spot and you probably won't get much help. Second...did you loosen any of the upper mounts adjuster nuts during the install? It sounds like you might have installed it in the wrong sequence...did you follow the factory service manual?
