Hey does anyone have the fuel moto big bore kit on their ultra classic? I was wondring how well the bike performs and if anything with the drivetrain needs to be changed?
To specifically answer your question, I have not read of people going with the 107 that needed to upgrade their drivetrains due to clutch slippage.... although I would always go to a heavier spring even with my Stage I upgrades......
You could always do the big bore, and then based on how your bike responds to the new power and your riding style, go through the clutch improvement progression.... stronger clutch spring, then variable pressure clutch, and eventually a new high performance clutch set-up...
Good luck with your mods...

I did the Fuel Moto 107 EZ with TW555 cams on my 09 Ultra and added a AIM VPC 95 to the clutch as a preventative measure while doing the build, I like the light pull with the stock spring so didn't change it, still running the stock clutch cable at 132,000 miles. The VPC 95 is supposed to be able to handle 140ft lbs + with stock spring.
Thanks for the info everyone, looks like I got some homework to do.
What do FM themselves recommend? They seem to provide a very complete package for each of their upgrades, so it's difficult to imagine they over-look the clutch - if it needs attention! I have a 107", although not one of theirs, and installed a stronger clutch spring. I also changed the comp and primary chain as they were both showing signs of wear, although that will depend on mileage and usage of your own bike.
