Default Interchangeable parts

My brother passed away 3 yrs ago and left me his '02 Road King FLHRI. I wanted to get it back to riding condition and spruce her up a little. I was wondering what models have interchangeable parts with mine. Any where that I search for just "Road King" doesn't seem to have many options. For starters, I want to get rid of the spoke rims and do something with the outdated headlight. Any help would be much appreciated.

Many parts fit from around 1996-2007 for your Road King. After 2007.....things started changing.

If you’re after wheels.....you have one inch bearings. If I were you, I’d stay with those bearings and not swap to 25mm.

Go to the Harley website. Click on Parts and Accessories. Click on the drop down menu and pick the year of your Road King and then choose Road King-EFI. The parts and accessories that show up are usually compatible with the bike. The parts manager at a Harley dealer can verify fitment. Or you can select an item on the website then click on the Fitment tab and it will tell you what the part fits.

Find out where swap meets are, and start looking and talking. Most folk know well their bikes and parts, and can tell you if their used wheels and such will fit on your bike.

clean that headlight lens and reflector, and you may not feel such a need to replace it.

It is easier for us to help you with specific questions, such as wheels. There are plenty of custom options available, including HDF specialist sponsors, however it is much more economical to buy secondhand H-D stuff. A source of useful info is Ronnie's parts website, where you can study options and identify specific part numbers. As an example, optional cast wheels for your model are #43402-00B for the rear and #43493-00 front, which were used widely on most touring models. The suffix '-00' tells us they were introduced in 2000 and were used through to 2007, as EVOrider points out. You should find they are readily available through secondhand selling sites, you may even find some for sale in the HDF Classifieds.

Most of the touring bikes from 1996 to 2007 are interchangeable. Some of the tins are different and a few other things but most essential parts will swap from bike to bike, some may require a little modification though.
