Looking for tail light that have the license plate window at the bottom of the light as opposed to the top. I can't seem to find one anywhere.....please point me in the right direction thanks!
Suggestion, remove the lens from your present light to see if there is a second bulb just for the license plate, If there is, you will probably need a new tail light assembly with the aux bulb on the bottom, along with the window. If there isn't a second bulb, try any of the after market sellers, Dennis Kirk, J&B or whatever the initials are, even Harley's web site might offer replacement lenses with window on the bottom. Might be a good excuse to upgrade to a bright LED tail light with the window on the bottom. Most manufacturers make them both ways, top or bottom.
For the one the linked above, be sure to change your brake light bulb to an LED. A year or so ago I was trying to find the same thing, and the only thing I ever found with the window on the bottom, was that "Lay Down" style. Just be sure your tag is going to mount close enough/flat enough to the fender that the window will let light hit it. I went a different route.
Correct , most light covers with the clear window will be a lay down style , which means you either need a low profile bulb or an led to prevent the surface of the cover from melting , due to the size of the stock bulb . This is definitely a cheaper way to go , rather than buying a full setup with the led lights already installed . Depending on what bike you have , you would need the 1157 led bulb .
Question , how are you mounting your tag ?? There are other ways of lighting it without using a cover with a bottom window .

Try looking for the part number of a Canadian Streetglide. My plate is below the tail light. I haven't looked but there must be a clear lens there.
EDIT: I just looked and it's not what you're looking for. My license plate light is in the chrome bar that holds the turn signals. My lens is solid red.
