Does anyone here use the symax helmet? I saw one for the first time yesterday and liked it. Here in SC we do not have a helmet law, but on longer trips I choose to wear one. Would also be great in the rain from the looks of it. If you have any experience with these let me know.
Been riding 25+ years.... worn many helmets... Full face, 3/4, 1/2 helmet. Many brands.... Fulmer, HJC, Bell, Aria, Shoei, Nolan, Etc.
Now have the HJC SY-MAX because I needed new helmet to match the new "'07 ULTRA". I has many good points, NO bad points, but there are items I'd like to see improved.
It is comfortable (nice & snug). Cools well (Florida West coast... SUMMER.... HUMID.... pretty darn cool).
Minimal windnoise (if any)
Good weight.
Front opens easy with 1 finger (however, takes a bit of a push to close solid... not bad but a firm push)
glasses fit well.
I'd like to see the Nolan or Schubert sun shield idea.
Price for product is quite good.
It's solid and instills confidence in the protection value
My first choice would have been the "Nolan", but, it was not available at the time
HJC was 2nd choice but no "Johnie come lately". Very happy with it... HIGHLY RECOMMEND.... But Nolan would still be my first choice mainly due to visor system.
MY REAL CHOICE WOULD BE THS "BOXER" BUT WHERE TO GET IT IN THE STATES?????
