Trailer towing question?
There is a group of us planning a 2 week motorcyle trip. Myself along with 3 of the other bike owners are looking at buying Time Out Camping Trailers. We all own Ultra Classics, and are curious how big of a hit will we take on gas mileage.
Thanks in advance,
Notah

Can't answer for the Time Out trailer but my Ultra took a 3 mpg hit pulling a Bunk House and increased almost 2mpg pulling a Bushtec. (haven't figured that out out yet but it did go up)
Just a FWIW...make sure you are comfortable with the change in handling regardless of make/model. My favorite is the Bushtec. I forget it's there, even in the twisties.

I have been pulling a Bunkhouse for about 3 years. I lose about 5 mpg, but I think part of that is because of the way I drive. I would recomend looking at a Bunkhouse pretty close. I considered them and a Time out. The bunkhouse had a way better bed and the factory guys are great to work with. The bunkhouse also had the Air conditioner option that my wife did not understand. She is really happy with it now on those hot nights.
