I have a 2017 SG I changed the gauges to the custom gauges. I know on trip B I'll have 31 miles to drive it and it'll reset to the correct mileage however my engine light is on. Was wondering if that will go away once I complete the 31 miles. Thanks
when I changed the gauges on the wife's bike, I bought them new from hd, and had the mileage input from the factory. she then had to ride the 31 miles till it locked to the ecm but there was never an engine light on during that time.

I purchased them new from a Harley dealership, plugged them in and they read the mileage and the engine light stayed on. Rode for the 31 miles thinking it would turn off but no go. Engine light still on.
i would pull the diagnostic codes and see what is actually throwing a code then. there's a couple threads on here on how to pull codes and what they mean.

good luck, and let us know what you come up with.
Ok, as I was changing out the gauges, I replaced the volt and fuel gauge and tested to make sure those gauges worked. By doing that without the speedo/tach attached it threw a code U0156. Cleared the codes and no engine light now Thanks all

Those gauges look awesome. I can't stand the factory SG gauge set. They are tough to read in certain conditions. This is going to be my next mod.
