When an accident like above mentioned happens. All kind of things get tweaked and broken. I like the idea of building it back better than it was, especially when it has to be replaced anyway. good luck with your build.

Yeah was back on the road as of early July 2020; see "Back in Black" post. I rebuilt front end with this "kit" from Big Bear Performance, consisting of a 2-piece threaded stem sized to mate '14-later tree with '13-earlier frame neck/bearings, and used take off '14-later fork lowers and triple tree and '14-'16 fork tubes, and RWD internals. Original nacelle fit and fork lock works, though part of lower tree peeks out between bottom of nacelle and top of fork cover cans. Setting neck bearing preload on this Johnny Cash special involved some guesswork and using the Force.

I figured out a way to make use of original front brake lines, as with ABS anything designed to route and attach w/later style forks was incompatible with my earlier ABS unit and I would've had to go custom otherwise which during Covid lockdown delays might've kept me off the road through that summer. That is crazy. Never seen or heard anything like it. Your brakes must have been strong and the tire had a hell of a grip on the asphalt for it to break those lowers.

Good luck with the repairs. Hope all goes well.
