Just remember what old Jack Burton does when the earth quakes, the poison arrows fall from the sky, and the pillars of Heaven shake. Yeah, Jack Burton just looks that big old storm right in the eye and says, "Give me your best shot. I can take it."

JMHO, but I find them silly. Every used bike that I've ever bought that had one of those bells on it was the first thing I took off. I've got a drawer full of the things. They just remind me of a little kid with "handlebar streamers" on their bike.

But, I can also see that some people like them, and so to each his own. As far as the OP.......if it were me, and I was going to add it to my bike, I'd put them both on.

I got one for my wife's bike and when I went to install it I found that her bike already had one. When I Bought my second Harley the Dealer gave me a bell, and when I traded it in on my 2020 SG the dealers Lot Tech transferred it to my new bike. I also carry a small aluminum cross in my wallet that was handed out at the start of a ride several years ago. No I am not superstitious but heck all of us bikers can use all the help. luck or whatever that we can get. just my 2cents

Well, I say hang 'em both. Nothing wrong with that. I'm not superstitious, or anything, but I have a bell on my bike. I think the lore or whatever you want to call it is cool, so I participate.

I put baseball cards in the spokes instead of a Bell. Seems to work better. Drives the Gremlins and everyone else crazy. But get the synthetic cards or it will void your warranty.

I view the bells as a sign of love, from a brother/sister rider or relative or just a good friend.. It tells me that someone cares for your safety and by giving, it says "I hope you come home every day safe." and by getting it says "someone cares about your safety" I got the original one from my then girlfriend, now wife, and the second one from my newest daughter in law. It says that two of the most important people in my life care about my safety. They both reside on the down tubes so that the gremlins will hopefully hear them and get out of my way. Of course it is all in the mind of the believers.

All my prior kidding aside, this is truly the best reason to have a Gremlin Bell on your bike.......

I have one from my dealer when I bought the bike, one from my wife the day I brought it home and one from each of my 3 daughters. They're all on my bike and if I could figure out how to put streamers on the end of my hand grips, cards in my wheels, and blow bubbles out the exhaust I would !
