Sounds good , appreciate the input. Do guys ever run into a no start issue after removing/reinstalling the tank or pretty rare. That's my biggest fear, messing up a good running machine lol.
I have removed tanks with the crossover hose about 8 times and tanks with no crossover hose about 5 or 6 times.... EFI bikes with the crossover line are the hardest, and carbed bikes are the easiest, because you can drain the tank from the petcock hose....
On the EFI tanks with a crossover fuel line. I clamp (pinch clamp) the hose in two places, next to the tank barbs. I cut the line between the clamps and only a very little bit of gas comes out. I remove the tank, and then drain it via the two cut hoses pieces, one side of the tank at a time...
I've only had one issue when trying to start the bike after having the tank off.... It drove me crazy for about 10-15 minutes and the damn thing would turn over but not start.... Well, until I realized I forgot to reconnect the fuel line to the tank.... never made that mistake again...!!!

Cool appreciate the input. I purchased a braided crossover line I'm going to install in place of the rubber one. Audio system is complete so I'm buttoning things up. Seeing what other upgrade I can do with the tank drained lol.
I put a quick disconnect coupler on the crossover line. Now I can remover the tank without draining the fuel. So much easier. And there is no pressure after it sits.
LCD17005V and LCD22005V are the part numbers , they have been on there for a few years with no issues.
Bought the braided crossover line from harley. Doesnt exactly fit. Too tight, couldn't get the second side on and the nut started. Returning that. Just installed a new rubber line .
