Cruise control ?

I have access to a Cruise control system off an 2003 Ultra Classic. Would it work on my '04 Road King? If so what components would it include ? If I have to remove it I need to know what to look for. Thanks

Your question would be like me asking you to tell me what kind of car I have if I told you it was red.

Do you have a FSM for your bike? That's where I'd start to determine if your RK has a cruise compatible wiring harness. In the older Evo manuals they included the wiring diagrams for all the touring models in the same manual, I'm not sure about the twin cam touring models. There are several "interrupts" that disengage the cruise (F brake, R brake, clutch, rollback, etc.), if you don't have those "interrupt capable functions" in place the other components from the UC won't do anything. The module and cable should fit but it will be a much bigger job than plugging in a few components. I believe the switches are also different.

Here are a couple pages from Ronnies, 03 UC and 04 RK Classic. Use the parts manual to see what you'll need. Don't forget to check the right and left hand controls and wiring.
