I've used motorcycle agent(Jim Palmer) in the past. No issues. Then again, I didn't have any claims either. I remember doing a fair amount of research, and called him directly. Personable. Informative. I bought the policy and it was straightforward. When I sold the bike, I was getting another brand (Indian.......I've since sold THAT gem), and he did talk about transferring it, but I told him it wasn't needed at that time. He was nice, professional, and returned my remaining premium within 2 weeks, if I recall. I'd use them again.
One thing to be sure of is purchasing a policy because you have aftermarket parts, stage 2, 3, ect. According to my understanding ( please correct me if I'm wrong because I would like to be clear on this myself ) they both offer coverage but there is limiting factors that may deny your claim. I understand that the parts must be professionally installed, calibrated, ect. Seems to me this would eliminate coverage for self installed parts.
I did the same as you. I have it now with one year left on it. I did research and found to by stand up reviews, also ask my local dealer if he had any experience with him, he did and never had a problem. And said easier than dealing with HD.

You are spot on! We have plans that can provide coverage for the aftermarket components and plans that will allow them to be on the bike, they are just not covered. If you are just changing the exhaust and adding a tuner, we have plans that will provide primary coverage, if the factory warranty raises any flags. The failure can't be related to the aftermarket component(s); however, the claim isn't immediately declined.
If you are planning on changing the cams, doing a big bore kit, ect--we will want to look at either the Autrella Performance Plus Plan or the Eagle Guardian Plan. EG requires the components to be installed prior to enrollment. APP allows the upgrades to be continuous and proof submitted.
