The choice shock for baggers here looks like the Progressive 440's. I am still in the decision process and am considering the 416's to my sub-standard stock air shocks for my 01RK.
I called Progressive and the tech recommended the HD440's I am 215# and passenger is 130#, add boots, leathers etc... we are in the HD range. He said they will loosen a little with time.
Has anyone here run the 416's and can give a comparison to the 440's in regard to ride and load handling? I like the idea that you can adjust the 416's whenever your conditions change.
You get what you pay for. Remember progressive shocks are built and when you purchase them they take them off the self and ship. If you want to go with progressive get the 440's; 416's can and will go out. Personaly speaking, I prefer works performance. They are hand built in theU.S.and built according to your weight, use, and bike. The looks of these shocks are awesome. I have had the 412's and 416's and then went to works. Just my .02
