Default Rear Brake Line Leak?

FLHRC 2009

Has anyone seen a leak at this junction on the rear brake line? Some brake fluid drops were found underneath this junction. Tried to duplicate it manually (pressing on the petal) but could not get it to leak again.

Maybe another source for the leak?

Leaking from this point, but I could not get it to 'leak on demand' manually. Is this just a simple crimp etc ?

my '08 FLHX rubbed right through at that point and rear brakes failed. I joined together with a compression union fitting, as i was on a trip and still a day from home. I had to replace the line when i got home, as it has the rear brake light switch fitting integrated with it.

Also check for clutch cable routing. Had a RK in the shop, clutch cable wore a hole in the brake line over time.

Tried again to get it to leak. I exercised the pedal, held it down, and placed a plastic bad underneath to catch any drops (overnight).... nothing yet.

I'm starting to think I dreamed the leak but I remember smelling the drops and it was definitely Dot4 fluid, not water.

The scary thing, it's the rear brake line, don't want to find out it fails at 70 mph.

I'll keep looking and try to get it to leak. Peace of mind I may change it out. $100

I will check for rubbing and other unusual wear.
