brake fluid leak?

brake fluid leak?

I went to get on my ultra (2012) yesterday and noticed a little brake fluid from the rear caliper cleaned everything up and checked level it was still ok ? went for short ride and everything seemed ok? what would cause this?

Photos would help. Did you happen to notice the exact spot on the caliper where you saw the fluid? You don't think your air shock might be leaking, do you?

It wasn't brake fluid. But just in case, jack it up. Inspect the line from rear master to the caliper. Then have someone load up foot pedal and hold it down. Make sure it is not dropping and you see no leaks. This problem, if it is real, can get you worst then dead

is there oil in the air line for the shock? that could be a possibility? I will do what you said on loading up the brake tonite after work... thanks

ok so good news and bad news ...the good its not the brakes....the bad it s the air shock..shocks...now what? anyway to fix or just get new shocks?

Same thing happened on my 15 Limited last year with under 30,000 miles . Left rear shock just all of a sudden , started leaking fluid . Not having $ 700-1,000 for good quality rear shocks , or $ 200 . for one new dealer shock , I found a used pair at Azcycleparts.com for $ 59.99 delivered to my front door . Replaced the bad one and have a spare .
