Well this begs the question then of Road Glide vs. Street Glide / Limited.
I ride a limited. When I have test ridden a RG the bars feel light, turn easier. A feeling that at first does not bring confidence to me. So with your numbers clearly showing the most weight toward the rear of the bike I have to wonder if the frame mounted fairing also contributes to a greater rear weight vs. front. Any one do a comparisons of RG vs Batwing?
As for me I have been loading our last three toruing bikes down and two up for thousands of miles. If I get too much weight I really feel it at stops and very low speeds. Otherwise no real handling issues.
We got a little carried away on our last long ride to FL in December. I weighted the luggage when we got home and it was 39 lbs. Won't do that again.

For the same year the RG is 30-35 lbs heavier than the SG, and I would say it is all in the front! Besides more fairing and internals, they have a couple very heavy steel mounts to hold it all on. So maybe closer to 54 / 46 (no rider)
Streetglide with solo mounted king tour pack. Heavy stuff in bottom of saddlebags. Special fabricated luggage rack to fit behind tour pack for tent and tarp when on extended trips that require camping. I like weight over the rear wheel, not behind it.

Not only is the RG fairing 30 lbs heavier than the Batwing, it also extends much further out over the front fender.
