I am in need of a new set for my 12 street glide...what is everyone running or recommending now days?

 

Fwiw, I'm still pretty durned pleased with my Michelin Commander II's.

But, a lot depends on how you ride and what you want out of tires.

 

Just purchased a set of Dunlop American Elites to put on my '14 Limited. Changing from oem because reports I've read indicate they're better in the wet; when riding distances, I invariably get caught in rain.

 

i'm pretty partial to the avon cobra chromes.

Running the 2nd set of American Elites on my 13 Limited. Good tires. The first set lasted about 20k miles with minimal cupping. Just installed the same tires on my Wife's 16 Deluxe on Sunday. No test ride yet as we're still waiting for riding season up here.

 

I’m trying to decide between the commander II and American elites thanks for the replies. Definitely will NOT be metzler

 

Dunlop American Elites seem to work for me.

 

 

I and most of the guys I know around here run the Commander IIs and I think a couple run American Elites. I did see that Michelin has come out with a Commander III but haven't heard anything about those yet.
