Default Trunk Lock

Trunk lock keysuddenly doesn't work. Can't open the trunk! It inserts but doesn't turn. Can see in through the small slitopening when the latches are released, but can't see anything that helps. Anyone ever dealt with this or have any ideas.

Default RE: Trunk Lock

I had a saddlebag lock do the samething...I used a compressor and cleaned the lock out good with the air. I then used graphite to lube the lock. Works fine now.

If the lock tumbler in the lock assembly won't turn and you have enough clearance with the latchs undone to raise the lid a little,I would say you'll probably have to drill the center tumbler out of the lock assembly. You will do less damage doing that instead of prying on the tour pack lid.One thing you could do before this is to spray some lubricant into to lock to see if maybe it seized from no lubrication.
