Not sure I'm following along here but I believe if you create a stop you may have to restart or acknowledge but if you use a way point it guide you there but not require you restart.
I use Furkot and export the route GPX file and import into my Boom! radio on my bike or OsmAnd app on my phone (You can import the route into Google Maps app also). You generally must use way points as most apps are to get you from point A to B as quick and efficient as possible. Test a route with a ay point and see if it helps.
BTW when I export from Furkot and import into my Boom! radio it gives turn by turn.

Yup, and I think that has a lot to do with it. I can sign in just fine with Microsoft Edge or on my phone. Did a disc clean, cleared Google history and cache, but it's like the sign in button is locked up and won't clear.
