well, that would just confuse the hell out someone behind you. they wouldn't know if you were braking or turning. (for those of us who have the small rear lights and no center light)
i have the cd tribar light upgrade. while the turn signals/brake lights themselves don't flash when you have the turn signals on, the tribar upgrade does.

hmm maybe I need to see why my tribar doesnt flash, if its supposed to.
I have the Custom Dynamics unit under the seat and converted the turn signals to run/brake/turn with led lights all around. All three rear lights flash with braking, the center light still flashes with a turn signal.
I have about the only thing better than a BAL-1, Its a Bal-2! It has 12 leds vs 4 for the Bal-1, and there is much less of a drop off in brightness viewing off center. I was able to pick it up from Boardtracker for 20% off and free shipping, which was cheaper than the sale that was offered from the manufacturer at the time. It is much more expensive, but worth it.
I forget which one I got for my Sport Glide, but Ive had them on all of my previous bikes. I dont know if they actually work but Id like to think it is a small upgrade that may get attention of drivers and hopefully keep me safe at a red light.
