I believe that is my issue. Can I tighten that without taking the whole primary off?

12" LA Chopper Apes. Had some electrical gremlins which were my own fault but they feel good for me. At 6ft I could of gone taller but these are a huge improvement over stock!

Slogos you got a good deal on that bike. The previous owner put about $1300 worth of LED light upgrades on it. I was pricing that stuff for my bike and said to heck with it, the halogen's are cheap and work almost as good.

Also if it is a limited you will probably enjoy the heated grips where you live. Get yourself a heated vest to wear under your jacket and you will be comfortable in colder weather. What I did was mount my battery tender lead on the clutch side saddlebag guard just as it comes out from under the seat. I can then use it as a place to plug in my heated vest in the winter time. Add a tall recurve windshield and cold weather becomes downright comfortable.

slowgos, you need a 3/16ths allen to tighten the shift linkage. I just tightened mine today, took almost a full turn to tighten. made a difference in the feel of the shift. you do not have to take any covers off, the linkage at the front of the long shift rod that goes to the rear of the primary is what you are checking. nice bike

I'm looking at getting a touring bike, was thinking about a more stripped down one like the Electraglide Standard or Road King.

Was talking with one of my riding buddies who has an Ultra. He said he went through the same thing when he first was looking at a touring bike. He ended up getting a good deal on an Ultra and went with that. He said he has never regretted having a tour pack on the bike. He doesn't notice it when riding, and when he stops he has the tour pack to lock his jacket and helmet in.

Trade for the bike, ride it If you find you really don't like the tour pack most of the time, there are kits to make it quick disconnect.
