Hi all new to the forum.
I have a 2017 CVO 117cube Ultra. Living in sunny Australia.
Love the bike but it is dead quiet. Need some noise
I want to put some slip ons to bring it to life.
I have been told the Reinharts are pretty good.
Not sue about 4" or 4.5"
Do I need a tuner if I put them on?
Any assistance would be appreciated.
Cheers, Norm
Welcome from the mitten state, Michigan. If you only install the slip on mufflers, a tune is not required. If you open the intake then a tune is recommended. I mention the intake because that will be next.
Welcome to the forum ! as stated , a tune is not necessary unless you do the air cleaner , however you may experience some popping on decel that was originally there , you just didn't hear it before the change ( after market baffles have a tendency to do that ) . I say go for it , and if you do , go for the stage 1 upgrade , you'll be doing your bike a favor ..
I do not recommend that you replace your stock muffler. I have a 2019 Street Glide Special with a 114 CI motor. I put Rinehart 4.5" mufflers on it and lost low end torque. I didn't like it and I took them off. I recently got the Fuel Moto exhaust tuning inserts so I might try the Rineharts again, I am just hoping to not LOSE any power. Wait till a few of us have had a chance to try these mufflers with the inserts before spending money.
