Road king sissy bar alternatives
I need a sissy bar with a pad for my 08 road king. Priced it at harley up here and it’s $400. I like good stuff but I think half that price is contributing to Matt’s severance package. Open to suggestions

Just bought a used OEM QD sissy bar with HD OEM pad on Eb*y for less than $110 to my door. More available and nice looking for less than $150 with pad. Decide if you want standard height or tall, find the part number and stalk Eb*y.

One thing I found buying a sissy bar for my RK is they come in different front to back distances. I bought one used and it just seemed like my passenger was a bit more forward that should be. I went to a dealer and compared a HD one with whatever I had. Although they looked exactly the same, even the dealer said they were the same, when we measured them the dealer bar sat 2” back farther. I ended up buying it and it put the passenger in a much better position.
