(My bike is a 2014 street glide w/abs) I bought a used front wheel after i found mine had a bent rim, didn't read everything before i paid for it. I see its off a 18 trike (Free wheeler) can anyone tell me why it wont fit or the differences between them? This is the part number they list 43300283, hope i am not screwed.
I believe that part # is the same rim but comes with no spacer, bearings or rotors. You will have to re-use the ones from yours (I'd buy new). Are you sure you had a bent rim and not a bad rotor?
Yes it was obvious , the lip around one side was bent way out from tire and rim had flat spot, i tried to slowly press it back with a press but it snapped . it was bent right at and beyond the spoke . i thought i read another thread the rotors are different, so now i worried. (Why change bolt patterns ? lol )

Ronnie's microfiche is showing two different part numbers. Your Street Glide is part number 43300027 and has the wide brake rotor bolt pattern. The Freewheeler part number is 43300283 and appears to have the older brake rotor pattern. Doesn't mean it won't fit. But would have to use different rotors. Friend of mine has a 2018 Freewheeler and I'm not sure but the rotors seem larger too. Maybe someone who knows better can chime in on that.

There are firms who specialise in repairing damaged rims - for future reference!
Are they bigger or is it that huge caliper on the Freewheeler?
must be an optical illusion. i noticed it first when i was using the parts fiche to see if that front wheel was used anywhere else (it wasn't), but the rotors were. upon further look, they're also used on sportsters as well.

The front caliper is six piston, with four of them providing the front brake, in other words operated by the front brake lever, the extra pair being operated by the rear brake lever along with the rear wheel calipers - at least that is what I understand. I investigated those calipers wondering if they could provide a six-pot front caliper for high performance solos, but gave up on that idea!
