1.) If yore stock headlight has an H9 and an H11 connector to it you will need an adapter cable to go from there to the H4 connector on yore new LED headlight. I did not know this until I had the stock headlight out and was looking at the useless adapters that came with the new LED.

This one is from Eagle Lights. But, less expensive ones exist at other sources. GOOGLE: "H9 H11 H4" and lots of options pop up.
2.) The H9 and H11 connectors on the adapter cable are not error-proofed. You CAN connect them wrong. In my case the connectors from the wire harness have blue/white and blue/yellow power wires. The ground wires are black. I matched the white from the adapter to the blue/white from the bike and the yellow from the adapter to the blue/yellow from the bike and all was good. Not all adapters match the colors so nicely. You may have to figure out which goes where. It's easy. You have a 50-50 shot of getting it right the first time. You have a 90-10 shot of getting it right the second time.
