I have a 2019 street glide special, and I would really like to know how to get my text messages to show up on my screen. I have an I-phone 11 and my calls come through on my screen which lets me decide if I want to pull over and call the caller back, but is there a way to have my texts come through to the screen also?
I dont have the GTS but on my older Boom, I had to delete my texts to get it to sync. If I remember correctly, it had to do with attachments in the stored texts.

On my 2015 Limited, there is an icon ('thought bubble') on the information screen that shows me that text(s) have come in ................ I can then navigate to a screen under communications/phone and LISTEN to the texts - but I cant read them.
For the 2015 Boom radio, you need to tweak some of the Bluetooth settings on your iphone (I have a 7S) for your HD connection - make sure 'Show Notifications' is 'on'.
Not sure if that will translate to a 2019 radio, but might lead you in the right direction.
my 2019 is the same. listen, but not read. and i think that's going to be pretty standard. after all, if you're reading your texts, you aren't paying attention to the road.

I had the hardest time getting text to show on the bike... but that emboldened/underlined part up above is what I was missing. On your phone's bluetooth settings choose the Boom Stereo's information icon all the way to the right and enable "show notifications". Like the others said.. you'll get incoming text notice on the stereo, if you're moving you can listen to it, or read it if sitting still.
Android guy here, take it for what it's worth, once I connect my phone to GTS via Bluetooth I have to grant permissions to the App to read my contacts and messages, not sure if it's anything similar on apple
I agree, you should only see a notification on the screen and listen to it...
