Default Swingarm Isolators

I want to change the rubber swingarm isolators on my 03 Ultra. I have OE rubber isolators and new nuts coming. Can I change the isolators one at a time without removing the pivot shaft? I know the exhaust will need to come off to get the right side out.

IF both nuts are removable, yes.
Some years, one of the nuts is welded to the axle.

pull off the chrome cap and check

You`ll need a jack under it either way

Thanks. The parts fiche picture shows 2 nuts so I've ordered them. The mounts were going to be between 2 weeks and 2 months to get out of the US warehouse so I had to order Drag Specialties ones. I hope they're decent.

Need to get the exhaust off first to get the right side off. I was just hoping to have an idea what I was getting myself in to first. All the videos I've found of the procedure show the axle coming out and everything being replaced. I'm hoping to just replace the rubber isolators.

It's worth a try. Mine were so tight it took a lot of time with a rubber mallet to get them to move and I was actually trying to remove the swingarm and all. And it was even tighter putting it back together with new non worn bushings.

You are planning to disturb things that may have been there for seventeen years! Take care, as not only do you need to support the bike upright, but also and separately to support the transmission. If you need to disturb the axle, the entire weight of the engine and trans sits on it!

Having a piece of round stock to drift out pivot ( if required) and maintain alignment during replacement will make it easier

Thanks for the tip. Bike will be on a jack. Not sure how I'm going to support the trans yet. I don't think I can get both jacks under there at the same time.
