I have ordered the front and rear systems for my 09 FLHTC. I'm tired of wrestling the "big girl" in the corners! Big girls are fun too, but not at 70 MPH in a curve! I have/have had a lot of bikes in my life, but I swear even my choppers corner better than the whale!
Does anyone have any extra tips/lessons learned for installing them? I downloaded the instructions and they look pretty straight forward. I've been wrenching a LONG time, but I love learning from others experiences.
Thanks!
I did have a few issues with the rear system with my TD exhaust. Part of the cross over heat shield was rubbing just a hair. Used a dremel and took a little off. Post up a picture of the front once it's installed. I'd like to see how it looks.
I installed the rear system today without too much drama, but damned if I could get the front one installed! The bolt holes for the engine mount piece were at least one half bolt width too wide. I'm going to call True Track tomorrow and see what they have to say. There was no way the bolts were going in!

The only issue I have is with tranny drain plug. Ya gotta be careful when changing oil in removing and re-installing plug. The opening could be a tad bit larger to facilitate easier access.
BUT the install was well worth the removal, or minimizing, the wobble I had!
I talked to True Track this morning. Of course they'd never heard of this problem before... , but the guy did advise me that there are sleeves that the engine mount bolts pass through and sometimes they get crushed. He said I may have to remove them?! That should be fun, and negate part of the rigidity of the original motor mount, I would think....
