Glad It's over
Wondering how long it would be before I dropped my bike. I managed to accompolish this last weekend north of St Joe, Mo. Riding 2 up with my wife, country road, missed a turn, car on my butt, pulled off on a steep narrow blacktop to let the car go by and turn the bike around. 35 degree angle driveway where I stopped, visions of "dumb ***" flashed through my mind right before the bike went over. Needless to say, my wife was not a "happy camper" at that point. If you think it is hard to pick an ultra up on level ground, try picking one up against a 35 degree angle. No damage other then my pride and a sore "shin bone". I blamed the accident on being tired after a 300 mile ride but in reality it was pure stupidity.
Been There and Did the same thing. Glad your OK my wife has been dumped twice and shee still rides with me. As soon as thwe stupidity feelings leaves you will feel better.
Thats when you need to be careful. The dropping demons lurk.

yes sir fella there be 3kinds of riders. those that are really talented never drop treir bikes (could be a legend) those like myself who have dropped their bike ( last time I had my wife aboard) and third those that are in denial (when they do drop their bike wait for the mushroom cloud)

Live and learn but glad you, the wife and the bike are ok. I almost did the same thing while trying to do a u-turn on a gravel road with my wife on the back. It was almost down and it was everything within my power to keep it up. If it wasn't for have very stong legs it would have gone down.
