i ride 2006 flhx....
now i have some money to burn, im interested between 13" progressive rear shock or true dual header...
from u guys that have install 13" shock, any good feedback from this shock?? is it worth it?? make my lean angle better?? comfier???
also if u guys have use true dual , is it worth it buy the true dual header and install with SE slip on...?? any improvement on HP and TQ?? any negative feedback from make our bike become TD???
Is there a reason you want to raise your bike? on the FLHX the stock shocks are 12 inches I just put 12 inch progressive 440's on my road king and put about 350 miles on it saturday 2 up, the ride was much better than stock. as far as as true duals I have had them at one time and went to 2-1 which to me was a much better increase in performance.
the reason i want to change to 13" is i always scrape the foot boards when i lean the bike....and i have read in a thread that someone change their 12' into 13", and he get better handling and comfort....now im confused........u say 12" better handling...
btw thanks for your input ...
I bought the HD Progressive 440 for my 2006 FLHX and have been enjoying them. I bought them on ebay for about 388.00 from what I remember. I bought the 13 inch because I am a bigger guy. I really like the better ride and it handles in the curves much better.I always like to make comfort and handlingcome before performance. I added a True Track at the same time and between the both of themit hasmade a world of difference.
