Default Tour Pack Compatibility

Hi folks,

First time posting in this part of the forums.

I am looking to find a tour pack for my 2004 Road Glide. Is there any way to tell which tour packs and mounts will fit my bike?

I see a used pack off a 2011 at a good price. Are the actual tour packs universal as far as bolting on to a mount correct for the year of the bike?

Any information is appreciated.

I don' know. your looking for some very specific knowledge. probably why your not getting many responses. you might want to call a dealer on this one and even then I'm not sure I'd trust their answer. is there anyway to bring the bike to the tour pack? good luck

Any tourpak from a late 80's up to 2013 will be the same and will be shaped in the style that originally was intended for your 2004. You can also make the new style (2014 to present) work as well with some minor drilling. HD makes both a permanent and a quick disconnect tour pac bracket for your glide.

When I did mine I jusy got a cheap one for my year range and then the base plate. I don't remember where I got the plate form but a quick search will show them.

Hey Piper,

Agreed, pretty obscure information. That's one of the challenges of working with the older bikes.

89FLHT,

Thanks for the info. I suspected there was some span of years that would work. My plan going forward is to pick up a quick disconnect mount, have it on the bike ready to go when I look at these packs. Seems you can pick up a nice used on here in the Bay Area for ~$400-$500 range.

Thanks again.

Hardest part really is sorting out the wiring harness differences. Though namz sells aftermarket options that might work for your years.
