Default ROADKING PULLS TO THE LEFT

I have a 2005 Roadking Classic the pulls to the left, into on coming traffic. I can correct the pull by leaning to the right but shouldn’t it go straight with out leaning? I have tried taking everything out of the saddlebags to balance out the bike and it still does it. Does any one have any ideas?

Has the wheels been pulled off? Has this just started or been doing it?

That is a very common problem on the dresser models. If you search this forum, you will find many postings. One fix I found was adjusting the clutch cable. Mine appears to rub on the crashbar and put tension on it. If you pull your cable upwards to hold more slack near the handle bars, it will straighten you out.

HD needs to fix the problem, but that is a relatively easy fix.

Don't pull the wheels....check the other postings and check your clutch cable

Get a service manual and check the alignment of the rear wheel. Follow the instructions in the manual to a "T".

The 2005 models are self-aligning according to the service manual

Ahh yes. Back in the lime light again. This was a very hot topic a couple months ago. There is a long thread about it. Oddly enough, after I replaced my stock handlebars, I haven’t had any pulling to the left. Mine would almost dump to the left, when I let go. Now I can let go and it tracks straight. Go figure.
